An appointment system is in operation at the Health Centre. If you require a medically urgent appointment it is important to let the receptionist know so that you can be fitted in to the next available surgery. It is important not to abuse this service.
Sick children will be seen as soon as possible if you bring them to the Health Centre (please telephone first) – this is usually much quicker than waiting for a home visit.
Although you are not obliged to tell a receptionist why you wish to see a doctor or nurse, it can sometimes be helpful in case they need to arrange a nurse as chaperone at the same time, or if you need extra time or to book you with the appropriate health professional.
